Addressing the dire situation in the Middle East, the letter unequivocally condemned Hamas’ actions, labeling them as terrorism and pure evil. The signatories emphasized that there could be no justification or rationalization for the harm inflicted by Hamas. Israel, in particular, has suffered greatly, with reports indicating at least 1,200 casualties and thousands more injured due to the ongoing attacks by Hamas. Israeli authorities also revealed that Hamas currently holds around 150 people hostage in Gaza.

The conflict’s human toll has been devastating on both sides. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that since Israel initiated strikes on Gaza following a deadly Hamas attack, 1,537 people, including 500 children and 267 women, have lost their lives. An additional 6,612 individuals have sustained injuries, painting a grim picture of the humanitarian crisis.

The open letter not only served as a testament to the industry leaders’ unwavering support for Israel but also carried a stern warning. It cautioned public figures in the entertainment industry against disseminating misinformation about the war and urged them to refrain from amplifying any propaganda. The signatories expressed their heartfelt sympathy for all those enduring unimaginable fear and violence in the region, emphasizing their hope for a future where Israelis and Palestinians can coexist peacefully, side by side.
