Marvel Unveils Future-Set Series ‘Avengers: Twilight’ at New York Comic Con
Marvel Comics has revealed a new limited series titled ‘Avengers: Twilight’, set in the future, created by Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña. The six-issue series, set to launch in January 2024, presents a world where Captain America is no more, and Steve Rogers navigates an America devoid of freedom and friends, questioning the very essence of the Avengers.

The official synopsis teases a narrative where Steve Rogers, the former Captain America, exists in a world where the Avengers are strangers, and freedom is an illusion. The series delves into the complexities of assembling a team of superheroes in a society that rejects them, posing profound questions about the nature of the superhero dream.
Accompanied by striking promotional artwork by Daniel Acuña, the series promises a fresh perspective on Marvel’s future. While Marvel has explored alternative futures in the past, ‘Avengers: Twilight’ stands out with its unique narrative, offering a glimpse into a world controlled by an oppressive force, depicted through a formidable police force of Iron Men and an intimidating version of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel.
Marvel initially teased ‘Avengers: Twilight’ alongside other X-Men titles last month, describing it as a “startling new vision of the Avengers,” focusing on the “final days of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.” The first issue of ‘Avengers: Twilight’ is set to hit the shelves on January 16, 2024, promising an intriguing exploration of Marvel’s future landscape.
